From April 25 to May 1, 2022, the Government of India will hold a ‘Fasal Bima Pathshala’ under the ‘Kisan Bhagidari Prathmikta Campaign’ as the Jan Bhagidari Movement under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. On April 27, 2022, Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar will host a nationwide special on “Fasal Bima Pathshala”.












Through “Fasal Bima Pathshala” specially organized and coordinated by CSC from 1 lakh locations across the country, it will connect with farmers in all implementing states across the country.

All implementing insurance companies are required to hold a “PMFBY- Fasal Bima Pathshala” in their block/GP/village during the 7 days of the campaign period, with the participation of at least 100 farmers.

During the ongoing 2022 Kharif season, the campaign aims to sensitize farmers on key aspects of the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), such as the basic provisions of the scheme, the importance of crop insurance and the how to access the benefits of the plan, among others. things.

The overall focus of this campaign will be the importance of PMFBY/RWBCIS (restructured weather-based crop insurance scheme) and how farmers can enroll in and benefit from the scheme. To get the most out of the program, detailed information on crop loss notices during localized calamities and post-harvest losses, follow-up on farmer claims, and who farmers can contact for grievance redress, among other things , can be shared and explained in detail to farmers. .












On this occasion, contact details for district and block officials, as well as offices of implementing insurance companies, will be provided in detail, including toll-free numbers, email addresses and any other mechanism developed by CIs such as chatbots, separate applications. , etc.

Following the national program, state ministers of agriculture will interact with farmers in their respective states through a state-specific program. At the state level, a one-hour Fasal Bima Pathshala will be organized in collaboration with the CSC and the implementing insurance companies.

Farmers, Panchayat Raj (PRI) representatives, members and field officials of the state government working at GP level (from various departments such as Agriculture, Revenue and Panchayat Raj among others ) will be invited to the state-specific program.












As special guests, prominent local personalities, progressive farmers, Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Farmer Producer Organizations (FPO), Self Help Groups (SHG), Village Organizations (VO) and others will be invited. Basic program features and FAQs will be included in the dissemination kit that will be distributed to participating farmers.
