Jagga Reddy asks for Rs 25 lakh help from his relatives


HYDERABAD: Demanding that the state government pay compensation of Rs 25 lakh to relatives of farmers who have died by suicide in the state, the incumbent Chairman of the Telangana Pradesh Congressional Committee (TPCC) and Sangareddy MP Turpu Jayaprakash ‘Jagga ‘Reddy, said he would support the families. of these farmers.

Speaking to the media here on Monday, he said central and state governments had totally failed in addressing farmers’ problems regarding the supply of paddy.

Farmers in Telangana chose to cultivate paddy and had gone through difficult times due to the neglect of governments in the supply of paddy, he said, adding that there were no proper facilities. in paddy supply centers, such as jute bags and means of transport to move crops.

Jayaprakash Reddy said they took overall responsibility for agriculture by providing facilities to farmers for smooth sale of crops and gave prominence to the agricultural sector when Congress was in power in the Center and in the States.

Central and state governments must take responsibility for farmer suicides, he added.

He also criticized Minister T. Harish Rao for not reacting to the deaths of farmers in his constituency. Reddy demanded that the government immediately announce compensation to farmers.
