Lifelines: Red Letter Day

I will establish your borders. Exodus 23:31 (NIV)

Did you celebrate Easter last week? As Christians, Easter at any time of the year should be one of great excitement and joy. Unlike Christmas, it’s not about giving and receiving gifts, but rather renewing your commitment to live your life for Christ because he laid down his life for you.

Jesus longed to sit down with his disciples and eat the Passover meal. Like his Jewish brothers, he knew the importance of this day of red letters and would not pass over its significance. God chose the blood of an innocent lamb without blemish as an instrument to deliver His people from Egyptian slavery.

Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God slain to take away the sins of the whole world. He is now seated on the throne of God. As we face global crises of all kinds this year, may we pray that his blood will cover us all and bring sweeping reform to the United States and the world.

The Lord wants to establish your boundaries this year, so He can protect you and lead you through still waters to green pastures. But you must allow Him to do so by submitting your will to Him. You can break out of bondage and make a fresh start this month. You can go from the emptiness of this world to a useful and brilliant life! Because Jesus lives, you can face tomorrow.
