AMARAVATI: Agriculture Minister K Kannababu said Rythu Bharosa Kendra (RBK) was established to provide a one-stop solution to all farmers’ needs.
He told the assembly on Friday that the government was buying paddy from the farmers without delay through the RBKs. Responding to a question from YSRC legislators Parvatha Purna Chandra Prasad, Jogi Ramesh, S Raghurami Reddy, TJR Sudhakar Babu and Karanam Dharmasri, the Minister said that RBKs were established to provide pre-tested agricultural inputs, delivery services, capacity building and knowledge. dissemination.
“RBK’s idea is the brainchild of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. AP is the only state that has launched this type of service to extend all services to farmers’ doorsteps,” Kannababu said. He said farmer advisories and supply operations are also part of the RBKs.
The minister explained that they have already launched 10,778 RBKs across the state. “About 32 lakh farmers procured quality seed from the RBKs while another 10 lakh farmers got fertilizer through the hubs. Nearly four lakh farmers got credit through the RBKs,” the minister said. . He said 15.34 lakh farmers were selling their agricultural products through RBK.
He said crops such as paddy, jowar, maize, bajra, ragi, redgram, groundnut, sunflower, soybean, sesame and cotton were supplied to MSP through supply operations via the RBKs. He said that the social audit was also carried out by posting the lists of beneficiaries under various programs.
Although farmers had to register their crops under e-crop, the relevant VAAs, VHAs and VSAs help farmers to complete the process. “We also collect daily prices of various agricultural products on the farm and analyze them through the Continuous Monitoring of Agricultural Prices and Purchases (CM APP) to perform immediate response required. AP is the only state to follow the practice new and unique to extend support to farmers,” Kannababu said.
